Oh my gosh!!! This is June Bug who was rehomed to a family free off Facebook ! She has never had any vet care, the family reached out to surrender her. Today she arrived and it honestly is one of the worst cases I had ever seen!
Her eyes are extremely swollen, no I don't think its entropion... I have reached out to our RVT, other rescues for ideas and the vet. It could be SCABIES or DEMODEX, but only one other spot on her neck that looks like a classic hot spot. We started her on Claritin and Benadryl as she was itching all-over and that seems to have helped. Then we gave her a Simpirica Trio which does usually kill mites.
Unfortunately the family who got her didn't know and gave her steroids, which could have caused it to get worse....
We will see the vet this week, it breaks my heart seeing a 2 yr old this bad. All I know is the last 4 Saints we have taken in are all major medical cases, we were never prepared for...
